Radiation Therapist Reg

Role: Staff Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments following physician prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate radiation equipment ensuring safety and precision in treatment delivery.
• Perform patient assessments, procedures, and provide specialty care tailored to patient age groups.
• Document all procedures accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Participate in Quality Control and adhere to safety protocols, including radiation safety measures.
• Simulate new patients and manage patient setup and scheduling efficiently.
• Educate patients and families about treatment side effects and safety precautions.
• Recognize limitations, seek assistance when needed, and report adverse reactions promptly.
• Assist in training students and participate in on-call rotations.
• Follow organizational policies, standards, and code of conduct.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Associates degree or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Radiation Therapy (preferred).
• Licenses and certifications: ARRT-T (Radiation Therapy), BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Ability to perform treatment simulations, patient care, and operate radiation equipment safely.
