Role: The Clinical Charge Audit Analyst is responsible for clinical documentation improvement, auditing, coding, and charge entry for cardiovascular procedures in Cath and EP Labs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review clinical documentation, reports, and supplies to ensure accurate coding, billing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct medical record reviews and provide coding and compliance training to physicians and staff.
- Collaborate with departments to develop charge codes for new procedures and ensure proper supply coding and inventory management.
- Work with Epic, Lawson, and other systems to support data collection, billing accuracy, and regulatory reporting.
- Assist in training staff on coding, documentation, and new procedures; participate in audits and revenue reconciliation.
- Research new procedures, gather reimbursement data, and serve as liaison for coding and clinical updates.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED; relevant certifications required upon hire.
- Minimum 3 years of acute care coding, billing, or charge capture experience.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in Interventional Cardiovascular, EP, IR, or Surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer operations.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare team members.
