Role: Registered Nurse in Acute Care – Ortho Surgical, providing patient-centered, evidence-based care on a full-time night shift.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver individualized clinical care.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making, ensuring cultural competence.
- Coordinate safe, high-quality care within a collaborative team, promoting respectful interprofessional communication and documentation.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and uphold organizational standards and policies.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional development and a healthy work environment.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, clinical research, and resource management to enhance patient outcomes.
- Contribute to protocol development, resource planning, and quality metrics such as reducing readmissions and adverse events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Current RN license (single or multi-state compact) and BLS certification.
- Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience, with direct patient care preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
