Role: Speech Language Pathologist responsible for evaluating patients and developing individualized speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing plans of care in collaboration with physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and adjust treatment plans using appropriate activities to meet patient goals.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.
- Assess patients’ needs in speech, language, cognition, voice, and swallowing, establishing and evaluating treatment programs and discharge plans.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, family education, and discharge information per departmental protocols.
- Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and professional appearance.
- Communicate effectively with team members, participate in meetings, and organize workload efficiently.
- Ensure safety, infection control, and cost-effective use of materials and equipment.
- Deliver excellent customer service, fostering teamwork and positive patient experiences.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory training, and support onboarding of new staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
- Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, with required certifications including BLS.
- Effective communication, customer service focus, team orientation, and basic computer skills.
