Job Summary
The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role designed for students in surgical technology programs to gain hands-on experience in surgical settings. The intern works alongside a Certified Surgical Tech and may assist with patient care tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with direct and indirect patient care in surgical areas
- Collaborate with surgical team members to support procedures
- Perform tasks under supervision, ensuring safety and compliance
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrollment in an accredited Surgical Tech program
Certifications & Skills:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within ninety days of start
Additional Requirements:
- No prior experience necessary
