The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises Nurses and Medical Assistants.
Provides specialized wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, managing complex skin conditions through assessments and individualized care plans. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal healing outcomes. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, active licensure, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and current patient contact preferred. Position involves physical effort, travel within the region, and adherence to safety protocols, including exposure to biohazards. Key responsibilities include wound assessment, treatment, supervision of staff, documentation, and coordination with care teams. Requires strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently in various environments.
