The Wound Care Provider (MD/DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
Provides specialized onsite wound care in home, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities for chronic, pressure, surgical, and complex wounds. Performs assessments, develops care plans, educates patients/caregivers, and collaborates with healthcare teams to promote healing. Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, active licensure, and wound care certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Must be physically capable of fieldwork, including lifting and mobility, and possess reliable transportation.
Work involves travel (~25%), exposure to biohazards, and adherence to safety protocols. Key duties include wound assessment, treatment, supervision, documentation, and team communication. Flexibility, strong assessment skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities are essential.
