Role Overview: The position involves providing executive leadership for nursing departments, including Medical/Surgical, Emergency, Surgical, and Cardiac services. The role includes strategic planning, operational oversight, and fostering high-quality, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all nursing operations, ensuring adherence to standards and continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
- Implement systems to optimize patient flow, quality outcomes, and seamless care transitions.
- Collaborate with physicians, staff, and leadership to promote excellence in patient care and organizational goals.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with agencies such as CMS, Joint Commission, and state boards.
- Foster staff recruitment, retention, professional development, and leadership growth.
- Lead quality assurance efforts, evaluate performance data, and implement improvements.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, serving as a key liaison between nursing and medical staff.
- Maintain facilities and equipment to support safe, efficient nursing care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; RN licensure from an accredited school. Preferred: BSN or Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.
- Experience: 3-5 years in operations management; experience in healthcare leadership preferred.
- Licensure & Certification: Valid RN license, Texas Driver’s License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Auto Liability Insurance.
