Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will join an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team providing community-based care to homeless individuals, including street and subway dwellers.

They will conduct street outreach, coordinate needs during and after housing placement, support daily living skills, offer counseling, and advocate against discrimination and healthcare disparities.

The role emphasizes member choice, harm reduction, non-coercion, flexibility, and person-centered care. The team will follow participants post-housing to ensure stability and independence.

This field-based position requires periodic on-call hours, flexible schedules, and travel across three counties.

Qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, counseling, nursing, or psychology, with experience working with homeless populations preferred.
