Job Summary:
Performs quality diagnostic laboratory testing on a variety of specimens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts accurate laboratory tests ensuring quality control.
- Gathers, processes, and analyzes specimens following established protocols.
- Maintains laboratory equipment and documents test results.
- Adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certifications:
- Pathway I: High school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, ASCP Eligible, and certifications such as ASCP or AMT preferred.
- Pathway II: High school diploma or GED, Biological Science degree, NAACLS Accredited Program, ASCP Eligible, preferred certifications include ASCP or AMT.
- Pathway III: High school diploma, military medical lab training, Biological Science degree, ASCP or equivalent certification.
- Pathway IV: High school diploma, military medical training, Biological Science degree, relevant certifications.
- Experience:
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, or Urinalysis in accredited laboratories.
