Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive team member providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care within a clinical environment supported by nurse leaders and a shared governance model. They practice evidence-based nursing aligned with organizational standards and ethical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, utilizing critical thinking and individualized care.
- Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care respectful of cultural diversity, partnering with patients and families to align care with their goals.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through effective interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and fostering a respectful clinical environment.
- Contribute to team efforts by supporting performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance initiatives.
- Support professional development by completing competency assessments, mentoring colleagues, and serving as a preceptor or mentor.
- Promote evidence-based practice and participate in data collection, research, and protocol development to enhance patient outcomes.
- Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum, developing protocols to improve care quality and resource utilization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required upon hire.
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with direct patient care experience preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to work effectively in fast-paced, emergency settings.
- Proficiency in technology, critical thinking, and time management skills essential for delivering evidence-based nursing care.
