The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with hearing, speech, language, and swallowing disorders based on medical diagnoses and physician orders, following established standards of practice.
They apply growth and development principles to patients of all ages, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
The role involves collaborating with diverse individuals such as patients, physicians, and staff, emphasizing teamwork to promote engagement, hope, health, and healing in line with organizational values.
Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, minimum six months of related experience preferred, and certification of clinical competency (CCC) from ASHA. A current state license or in the process of completing the CFY and BLS certification are also required.
