The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with hearing, speech, language, and swallowing issues based on medical diagnoses and physician orders, following established standards of practice.
They apply growth and development principles to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, working collaboratively with customers, patients, physicians, and staff to promote teamwork.
Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology, a CCC from ASHA, and a state license or pending CFY completion. BLS certification from the AHA is also required.
